Arriba!!!

That word means 'above' or just an exclamation!! Its my favourite word right now! Especially if you roll the r's!

I hope everyones week was so so wonderful! And that everyone is doing amazing! My prayers have been for you all,  and a special shout out to my cousin and grandpa who had birthdays this week! I love you guys!

This week started off very rough, there was a bug going around and one of our water jugs turned out to not be potable, so half our casa got throat infections, I think it was a mix of a few things though! But we were all sick for most of the week and i didn't sleep well cause we are all scrambling for medications at 2 am and coughing all, but it is what it is๐Ÿ˜… We also had the oppurtunity to give lots of blessings to eachother which  were of strength and healing,  and my district wasnt nearly as sick as others,  it was a huge blessing!

So we get 2 hours of exersize time each day and we always play beach volleyball and pickleball and ultimate frizbee and bball! Its been so fun! Its been a blast and the hermanas are a lot of fun and actually so good at sports its crazy!

In our casa we have about 28 people all from other ditricts, so we're all a bunch of elders in a house, so obviously things happen! Soo this week people have been 'breaking' into other rooms to take things they need. This is done by people leaving doors open or pickpocketing key cards. Most memorable are:

- Stealing beds and couches

- stealing candy and doc. Pepper

- stealing fans and blankets

We also had a room succesfully take someone out of their room while in bed at like 1 in the morning, so they woke up in the hallway, and we all knew when they woke up haha. But we check our possesions and keep our room under lock and key!

This week we were able to teach a mexican person on zoom and we could only teach them in spanish, pretty crazy! It was supoosed to be 5 minutes but we ended up teaching for 15 min! And I was shocked after cause I dont even know what I said but we all understood eachother! It was truly amazing!

Lately I have been loving the scriptures, if you get to the point that you look forward to reading the scriptures each night then you will be able to really be affected by the words they show!! I love these books!

Spiritual thought: 1 nephi 15: 24 " it was the word of god; and whoso would hearken unto the word of god, and would hold fast unto it, they would never perish; neither could the temptations and the fiery darts of the adversary overpower them unto blindness, to lead them away to destruction." This shows the true power of following gods words, wether through prophets or scriptures, or just promptings and prayer, you can be saved and proctected from the very worst!!

Have a wonderful week!!

Love, Elder Spencer
